1992 Exhibition Arthur Cravan, poet and boxer. Universal Leridane
An undisputable forerunner of Dada and action or performance art, Arthur Cravan constitutes one of the great myths of art and literature of this century, always surrounded by clouds of legend.
Fabian Lloyd, his real name, was born in Lausanne in 1887. His father, an English aristocrat, is the brother of Oscar Wilde's wife. This writer will be of paramount importance in his poetic work. Wilde will be for Cravan a kind of other poetic self and a constant reference.
My participation was with a second version of "Cockatoos" presented at the Lleonart Gallery in Barcelona in 1982.
