2008 Under the skin

In this book there are characteristic forms in my work, such as the pen, in clear relation to writing, or materials such as velvet paper that bring books closer to the material and sensual world of sculpture. The long unpublished poem by Carme Riera, written on the occasion of the pregnancy and birth of her daughter, was the trigger for the creation of “Under the skin”, and led to an exhibition where through a series of small works made from the recycling of foam trellis, turned into seeds, into nuclei of creation, into sculpted sexes, talking about the action of drawing and writing as sister elements of the creative act. It is a book in which the references under the surface are subtle, at the same time insistent.
