XII Woundeds letter<\/span><\/b><\/p>\nInternational Small Format Contemporary Art Exhibitions. Penultimate edition organized<\/p>\n
From the art project-laboratory MX Espai 1010, we started together with Nora Ancarola in 1998 some international calls that lasted until 2016. With this proposal we wanted to observe the drifts that were taking place in the world of textile art in connection with its insertion into contemporary art after the Lausanne Biennial closed in 1992.<\/p>\n
The Catalan language has some very interesting and absolutely beautiful words. One of them is the composite term \u201clletraferit\u201d, consisting of the words lletra + ferit, literally translatable as letter-wounded. The definition given in the Enciclop\u00e8dia Catalana, \u201cone passionately given to the husbandry of letters\u201d, is not devoid of a certain magic. The word\u2019s expression, which arises from the visual image of an injury, is one that is simultaneously startling and tranquilizing, as we grasp that this wound is the greed of knowledge\u2026<\/p>\n
